The role of Lake Steward is significant to year-round observation, education and partnerships supporting a healthy lake. The Lake Steward publishes an annual report on the current state of the lake that is generally presented to the OLLA’s members at the AGM in July. The report includes the results of all water quality measurements performed by OLLA and RVCA. Refer to the Water Quality section for technical background information on water quality testing.
The reports are available for viewing and/or printing in PDF format.
In addition, The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority (RVCA) and Watersheds Canada, formerly the Center for Sustainable Watersheds (CSW) have performed numerous studies on Otter Lake relating to water quality, water levels and ecology. These studies are available for viewing and/or printing in PDF format. Be aware that several of these files are very technical and are quite large.
